Beach Haircut!

Every year Scott and Dave go to Franklin St. to get their hair cut before we leave for the beach! Below is Scott leaving the barber shop with his super snazzy hair cut! Isn't he cute?? The one of the right is pretty cute as well!

Happy Trails to you!

This was such a fun day! We went on an adventure with our neighbors! We biked/ran the Bolin Trail with Winnie tagging along! What a great day! It was hot but what do you expect when you play outside in July!

I need to remember about this trail! I am sure Winnie and I could have lots of future runs there!

Sick Day!

What do you do when you have a sick day? Last time I checked, I stayed on the couch and felt sorry for myself. Scott and Anna are quite the opposite! They feel the need to create their own bowling game with a dog toy and tons of crayons. Thank goodness they did not forget to create a path for the bowling ball chew toy with their plastic baseball bases! Such fun for a sick kid.

One day Scott is suffering from 103 fever almost being diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever...the next day he is in The Gilliam Dining Room Bowling Championship!

They are kinda cute, huh? I think I am a pretty lucky Mama! I never would have guessed that my kiddos could be this sweet looking. I know..I am gushing. I will stop!

ER Mania

This past weekend we decided to take our kiddos to the beach for a last vacation before school started! We had a wedding to attend and was so excited to learn that kiddos were invited AND it was it at the beach! Unfortunately, Scott decided it was a great time to spike a high fever of 103 all the while expressing that he had headaches, neckaches and an itchy rash. We ended up needing to leave the beach early and decided to head straight for the UNC ER. Scott did not have all of the Googled maladies that we diagnosed him with over the past 48 hours of his sickness but did have a horrible case of Strep.

This picture was taken in the freezing cold hospital on the comfy (NOT) plastic bed. Doesn't he look sweet for having a fever of 103? He was a trouper! Much better then Dave or me when we are sick! Scott and Dave spent the 3 hours in the ER playing Wheel of Fortune and name that capitol. I, one the other hand, texted friends and played Solitare. Who is the kid and who is the Mommy? Sometimes I get confused!

Rags to Riches

I am not sure that Winnie remembers her meager beginning. She sits in this leather chair that use to be in my Dad's office at the bank to look outside. That is a far cry from her Silar City start. Winnie, you are one lucky puppy! Happy 8 1/2 months girlie!

Waiting to go to Grammy's house!

Friday was a FUN day! Grammy called in the morning and invited the kiddos to her house for the night! They could not pack and be ready fast enough. I try and get these kids ready every morning and if I knew that the Grammy influence would speed up the process then I woud have used her a long time ago! They were packed and ready, sitting on the curb of our house waiting in no time! Papaw took a little while so they finally got tired and went back inside.

Once they finally got to Grammy's house they had so much fun! Papaw made a Corn Hole (nice name) game and they played that and baseball for hours! Grammy and Papaw are the best! I can't believe that Scott and Anna can keep up with that young couple!

Might be in print!

I get Scott's bowties from a neat company that I found online. After ordering a few of their bowties they wrote and asked for feedback. When writing the feedback, I sent a picture of Scott in the bowtie. The company replied to the email and asked if they could put Anna and Scott on their website. They also asked if they could put them in their catalogue. Maybe we could start charging money for pictures and then pay for college some day!

Who else can I send pictures too?? Hmmm, maybe that isn't a good idea. I will not be a stage mom..but look how darn cute they are!
