Father's Day Fun!

Happy Father's Dad Daddy!

5 Things Scott loves about his Daddy.

1. Daddy tells silly jokes

2. Daddy gives big hugs

3. Daddy is funny

4. Daddy loves to play games with me

5. I love it when Daddy puts me to bed at night.

Could it really be that Scooter is SIX?

How is it that time appears to move to fast when you have children? I am sorry but it feels like Scott was just born yesterday. I could not be more proud of who this child is becoming. Scott, you are such a cool kid. You never cease to amaze me with your abilities. You are kind hearted, polite, a rule follower and quick learner. I feel so blessed that I am able to be your mother. It is amazing to watch how your mind works along with how you treat those around you. I picked you up from camp today and they were giving away Math textbooks at your school. You were so excited for me to be able to take them home so that you and your Dad could work on them. If you only knew how horrible I was in math, you would laugh! I LOVE that you have this desire to learn.
Now, not only do you love to learn but you are just now understand how to love being a kid! You learned this month that swimming is really fun. This is a huge turnaround from last year. You have grown so much in your first year of Kindergarten. You run, play and get dirty like other children now! Do you know how long it has taken to get you to want to do that? It has take 5 1/2 years! We are SO proud of you! We can not wait to watch you continue to grow up. You have been nothing but a complete and utter joy to our lives!
Happy 6th Birthday Scooter!

Renovations in progress.

Dave and I decided that it was time to change the children's bathroom. They had a really long counter top and only one sink. It was pretty dated and needed some help. Dave and his Dad decided that they wanted to do this project themselves! I was a bit surprised and hesitant. Not only was I afraid that the job was a bit bigger then Dave thought but I was afraid that sweet John would disown us during the process. Luckily, they appear to really be enjoying the bonding time. Dave is pretty much a "runner" for John but all appears to be going well! Anna and Scott should be so proud of their grandparents! Dave's parents are pretty much Jacks of all trades. It is a amazing! Dave is really trying to learn as much as he can while working with his Dad. It is a cool time for them and I am glad to get a cool bathroom in the outcome. They have about 2 more weeks of work and then we should have the final product to share soon. I hope that Pa paw still loves us when all of this is through. So far so good!
Thanks, Pa Paw!
