Girl's best friend.

If you have ever met me...

You may have seen my "what the heck are you doing" face. Yes, this is me looking at Dave trying to figure out the camera with all the patience in the world. Can't you tell? I can't imagine why I have so many wrinkles.

Anna fairy tale

My favorite Anna story to date!

Last Easter, Anna may have said the funniest SO ANNA thing ever! Scott asked Daddy about the Easter story and he thought that it might be time to tell him a little more then the sunshine and rainbow version. (is there really one?) As he ended the explination with "and Jesus died on the cross but in three days, he ..." Anna chimed in and said "AND I WAS A FAIRY!" Oh my gosh, we laughed so hard I had tears flowing down my face. I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever heard!

When Anna was 3, my Dad mentioned "I think Anna has Fairies in her head." Well, Dad..evidently she was a fairy at one time! That explains it for us!

Scooter

Just a few of my favorite Scooter stories.

When Anna broke her arm we were told that she bruised her elbow when we went to Urgent Care. On the way home from the UC Anna was so nervous and sad about how it hurt and afraid to move. Scott said "It is OK Anna, I will let Winnie jump and nibble on me instead of you. I will make sure she does not get to you." Really??? He actually said that to his little sister! I was so impressed that he thought that much of her to protect her from Winnie. (Winnie was 5 months) That type of behavior is what we STRIVE to do wtih our kiddos. It just made my heart melt.

Scott, you give Anna your goggles because she learned how to go underwater with them and you knew that she would rather have yours then the pink ones.

Another great moment that you have had was at school. A couple of your friends were making fun of another classmate about her Art. You stood up for her and told your friends that that was not OK and that they should not make fun of her like that. They did not think that you were "cool" for doing that and you still stood your ground and stood up for a classmate. That night we told you that we would be more proud of you for doing something like this then answering the hardest math problem in the world! Keep up the good work, Scooter! We hope you continue to make the right decisions in life. It will get you far.

Lastly, you were a part of Vacation Church School last week and teachers and ministers came up to me and described how much of a leader you were. What a super fantastic compliment to be given! I really hope you continue to present yourself in public like you did this past week!

Winnie

How could anyone NOT love this face! Winnie is 6 months and the sweetest, mildest, laziest puppy in the world! We are so lucky!

Nutcracker...here we come!

Here we are at Anna's first recital ever! She loved the stage! She loved the costume! She loved the dancing! She was in heaven! I have to say that her brother was a super star. He watched every dance with enthusiasm and support. He is such a great brother for her. When the get along, they are the best of friends. I hope that they continue to love end respect each other as they grow older! I am sure they will have their (many) moments but all in all..you just want them to be there for each other! So far so good!

Schools out for Summer!

Sweet Anna has been such a trouper! Anna, your broken arm has NOT stopped you at all. I could not have been more proud watching how you adapted to your arm. You had to keep the sling on at all times and you rolled with it! That says a lot about your personality! Since you were a baby, you would be able to handle anything that should typically hold you back! When you had a tummy bug at 6 months you still played and smiled in between rounds of sickness. It was amazing to watch and I see it in many parts of your life as you grow older!

Here is Anna and her first love. Well, Kai LOOOOOVED Anna. He would watch her all day to make sure she was happy and smiling and sitting right next to him at all times. He was very protective. Sweet Kai! I hope that your future loves treats you with the respect that this little one did. Aim high with your boy choices girl! You will be thankful that you did!
Last day on the playground at school until Summer! As you can see she is standing up on one of the pieces of playground equipment one armed! She is unstoppable!
