The Poser take 2!

What can I say, my girl likes to pose. She will even pose with a plastic cup in her bathing suit. I fear the future teen years with her. If she sees a camera, she will try and work an angle. No joke! You go, Anna! Work what your Mama gave you!

Tar Heel 10 Miler

Brooke Bowersox, Mommy, Denise Vandervort finishes the Tar Heel 10 Miler! Today was Denises birthday and mine is this coming up week! Bring it on 36!

Yes, Kiddos! Today your Mommy and her awesome friends (Brooke and Denise) ran 10 miles in the Tar Heel 10 miler! I wish you could have seen me cross the finish line but I told your Daddy that it would take me longer then it actually took! It was a great day and I can not believe I ran that far! Maybe one day you guys could do this with me!

The Gamer!

Dear Scott,

I am sorry that I do not love to play games. I know this upsets you but I just don't have it in me. Thank goodness you have your Daddy to make up for my lack of gaming qualities. Your Mom just doesn't have the wonderful attention span that you and your Dad have. Stay patient as you are getting old enough to have your friends play with you.

Thank you for loving me even with all of my faults!
Love, Mom

Poser!

Anna, you are making me laugh every day! You LOVE to dress up whether it is silly dress up clothes or a beautiful dress. You want to look "beautiful" not cute! If I say that you look cute, I get a very stressed look! Little do you know...you are beautiful AND cute! Not bad things to be if you ask me!
As you can see in the pictures above, not only do you like to look beautiful but you like to pose beautifully as well. I am not sure if I love that you do this or completely freaked out!

Walk on...

Dear Scott and Anna,
I want to write and let you know why Mommy has had her face in this computer for the past few months. We did something very special this year that I am hoping will just get bigger and bigger as the years go on. I am trying to make a difference in your community! As you already know, I started a team known as the Pink Pacers. The Pink Pacers Team was created 3 years ago when Anne Neeley and I came together to walk 39.3 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Anne, who is now a 7 year survivor and I raised $6,000 and have not stopped since. As of 2009, the Pink Pacers have grown into a large group of men and women dedicated to making a difference in the Breast Cancer community. The Pink Pacers have been involved in 5 Avon Walks for Breast Cancer, walking over 196.5 miles in the name of finding a cure for breast cancer. In October of 2009, the we decided to continue in our commitment to this cause and join forces with a local program called Get REAL & HEEL.
As of April 2010, we have helped organize a Health Fair with the UNC Gymnastics Team as well as organize a 5K Walk to benifit the Get REAL & HEEL program! We raised almost $10,000 for the GRH program which brings our team to around $121,000 in helping the Breast Cancer community! That, my sweet kiddos, is why I have been so busy! Your Mommy is not just a Mommy. I am trying to do things in this community that are bigger then me. I really want to make a difference and help people! You two have learned so much from this and I hope that you will also continue to try and help others. There is nothing greater then doing your part in making your world a better place. At this time in my life, the Pink Pacers are moving in the right direction. I am so happy that you get to be a part of all of this!
There is nothing cuter then seeing you in your Pink Pacers shirts! You are a huge support team and I look forward to watching you and all of your Junior Pink Pacer teammates grow with you! You guys are our next generation! Brace yourself..because it is an amazing group with a lot to offer the world!
I love you and am very proud of you guys. I hope that one day you will look back and think that your Mommy is pretty cool. I know I am not your typical "stay at home Mom" but who would want that!
Love, Me

Daddy, are you ready yet?

This was a question that Anna would frequently ask her Daddy. She would say "Daddy, are you ready to have a puppy yet?" Well last week, he actually said yes! We are proud to announce a new member of our family and her name is Winnie! She is part Lab and we have no idea what else. The Vet that we got her from said that she was a golden, but they were obviously mistaken. (never going back there again)

We are having a lot of fun with Winnie despite her stinky-ness and her love of nibbling!

Welcome home Winnie!

Anna and Daddy Time

As you can see, Anna and Daddy are having a little bit of bonding time. Anna is VERY into having her nails done and felt that her Daddy needed to have beautiful toes like her. Luckily Daddy is never too proud and indulged her in a little Daddy/Anna pedicure time.
