Character Matters, says the Prince

Mrs. Edmonds did it again! She was able to get her class to do a 40 minute play in flawless fashion! Scott was the Prince in the play "Character Matters." It was super cute and I was even super proud of Scott for his singing and his first shot at acting! I think that my son likes the stage. I can honestly say that Dave may have been a bit teary during the show. He would tell you he had something stuck in his eye, but we all know the truth. We were all pretty proud of Scooter. I think that Anna was his biggest fan. She sat at the edge of her seat the whole time and never moved. She loved it!

Ladies Lunch

Atlee turned 3 and invited Anna and Laura for a spa and lunch day. The girls LOVED every minute of getting their hair and nails done. I must say, the styles were quite interesting. Anna was very proud of her bouncey locks. I, on the other hand, was a little embarassed and wished I had a sign that said "I did do this to my child."

Walk on... and be cute doing it!

Anything will do...

This sweet picture doesn't even need a comment. It is just cute Anna being cute Anna. She drags that elephant around all the time. She is Anna's stool to get into her drawers, her seat to play on the computer, her chair for tea parties and even her snuggle buddy for a good show. We love our stuffies..don't you?

Go HEELS!

I have to say, I feel mighty cool being able to work with the UNC Gymnastics Coach! Coach Derek is one of the nicest men I have ever met. Well, besides Dave, my Dad and Dave's Dad and Lee.. anyway he is great! This year the Pink Pacers joined up with a program called Get REAL & HEEL and the UNC Gymnastics team. It has been so much fun and I can not wait to see what the year will hold for us. First up, we have helped Coach Derek create his 4th annual Cancer Awareness Fair that will take place before his first home meet against Maryland. February 14th is the big day and we are super excited! I love that my kiddos get to be a part of the Pink Pacers now and actually see their Mama at work! (well, volunteer work) Go HEELS!

Game Time!

I am not sure you are able to tell in this picture but Scott is SO excited about starting basketball season this year! This is the very first team sport that he has ever been a part of! He absolutely LOVES playing basketball. The poor kid goes outside everyday after school and plays on our broken, plastic piece of basketball goal. It is awful! BUT, he is determined and it makes his Mama so proud!

Scott had 6 points in his first game (against Kindergardeners) and he thought he was the best player ever. On the way to the 2nd game, I gentlly let him know that he may not have that many points every game. Scott was like "whatever" and went on the court to practice. During this game, he had a very talented kid marking him and held him away from the ball the whole time! I pulled Scott aside at half time and said "hey, why don't you move around so that you can get away from #40?" Scott said "I kept asking him to not stand in front of me but he wouldn't listen."

So much to learn young one..so much to learn.

Hoop it up Scooter!

Happy New Years in the Mountains!

We were so lucky to be able to go up to the mountains for another year of fun! Ben and Jason were there and they brought their close friend Allie! We LOVED Allie and are so excited to have a wonderful new friend to kick off the new decade! We had about a foot of snow and ice and as you can see, the kids (and Ben) had a blast! I hope that no matter where Ben and Jason go, we are always able to spend New Years together! (or some other fun weekend)
