Here comes Peter Cottontail

We had a super fun day today! The family went to an Easter Egg hunt on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. The beautiful part about the day is that we actually missed the egg hunt but luckily one of Scott's friends donated a few of his eggs to our eggless children. Evan was so sweet to give up the goods. The kids did not even flinch from missing the actual hunt and jumped into the fun activities of the day. After we went to the hunt, we drove to Nanny and Grandad's new house. We are so excited that they are moving to Chapel Hill and will be closing on the home in a few weeks. Their new house is 2 miles from ours! SO FUN! We can not wait to have them around. I just hope that they like it here.
Tomorrow, we are hoping that the Easter Bunny drops off some goodies for the children! I am pretty sure E-bunny knows where we live...we have our fingers crossed!

Nothing could be finer ....

Then to be in CAROLINA!!

April 6th, 2009
National Champions!

What a fun year for Carolina basketball! This is this is the first year that Scott actually "gets" the sport and this is a FANTASTIC introduction to greatness! This Tar Heel team was favored to win the tournament in the preseason! I have never heard of a team who is favored and who is #1 in the country coming into the season actually fulfill their potential! What an amazing season! I am so thankful that Scott was old enough to watch this season!

Last night, late late at night, we walked up and told Scott that the Tar Heels won the National Championship. He had a 103.5 fever and still jumped up and was as excited as he possibly could be for being so sick. I walked back down stairs to watch the celebration and heard someone walking around upstairs. I went back upstairs and asked Scott if he was alright. He looked at me and said "I am looking for a pencil so I can fill in the last bracket." I almost cried it was so cute. We found a CAROLINA BLUE pen and finished the brackets that he has on the wall. He was shaking from being so sick but determined to have the last line filled with UNC. Such a cute kid!

When Scott woke up this morning, he watched the taped game from front to back. We have a true blue fan and I can not wait for future seasons! Anna is well on her way! Next year she will REALLY get it! I can't wait!

GO HEELS!

Here comes Peter Cottontail.....

I have to say that I have neglected these poor children since birth because I have never introduced the egg dying tradition of Easter. Needless to say, Anna and Scott LOVED it! I will make sure to not deprive them in the future. I guess it really isn't a complete easter without the process of dying the eggs!

C-A-R-O-L-I-N-A

March and April have been super fun for the Carolina basketball fans! I am not going to go into big time detail because we still have one game tonight left of the tournament! All I am going to do is just present Scooter and his new found love! BRACKETS!

We will write more about the tournament when all is said and done tomorrow. I am hoping for a very happy post!

(fingers crossed)

Ribbit Ribbit

Scott and his classmates were on TV this past week! Well..not everyone's TV but the Scroggs intercampus TV. They were so cute and had so much fun being News Anchors. I have to say..I was a proud mommy on the sidelines and I think that Scott would LOVE to do this again. I am guessing that he would want to do the weather because he keeps us updated by the hour at home with what the temps are all over the world. I am so proud of my future, weather guru!

Fancy Nancy ..I mean, Anna.

Today I was weak and allowed Anna to wear whatever she wanted while we went to get my hair cut. Anna came down with not ONE but TWO tutus along with her green gingham
pants and hot pink top. I have to say that Pink and Green are my two favorite color choices and it is even better when they are worn together. She did have that going right..I just wish she had topped it off with a bow. Every true fashionita needs a bow. Either way, she made a true statement at Mina's Studio today. Party on girls!

Numbers

I am guessing this is what everyone wants to do in their spare time. When I have a few minutes to myself..the first thing I think is "wow, wouldn't it be fun to count by 20 up to a gazillion?" Well, if this is the way that you think then Scooter is your man! He loves numhers and tends to get a little carried away with every day simple math fun. This makes me love the kid more and more. I love that THIS is his outside fun chalk activity! I think my game of counting by 20s would have ended at 60.
