Anna is turning 3!

Happy Birthday to our little Anna! She turns 3 this Sunday but we had the party today. It was so cute and fun! Anna had 10 of her friends over for a short little party. They ate pizza, cup cakes and had a pinata! It was just a fun day for all.

Portrait!

We decided to get a portrait done of Anna and Scott this year. Cathy Tellefsen is an amazing artist that takes the time to make sure your portrait is perfect! She came to our house and took tons of pictures. Then we got to pick out every piece of the pictures that we liked and combined them to make the best look. In one picture, I liked Scott's hair, in another his nose ..etc. It is awesome! We went to go and look at the portrait this week and tweaked a few things to make the kids look more like themselves. It was cool watching her do small changes that make huge differences in ther faces! So talented! I was so lucky to have the option for her to tweak it! Anyway, I get it tomorrow and it is huge! It will go above our fireplace and I am just so excited to get it in the house.

Leaves and Choir

Scott had his first Choir Concert this weekend. He was very excited and did a great job! Dave was asked to sing with the children. Luckily, Dave did not have to wear the cupcake collar! Although, I am sure he would!

Anna had a great time helping Dave rake leaves. For some reason she thought being in the trash can was the best part.

It is a new day!

What an awesome week! I am so glad that I took Scott and Anna to vote with me. This is one of those days that I will always remember. Hearing the words that Barack Obama will be the next president was nothing short of amazing. Who would have ever thought that an African American man would be in the White House? He won NC and VA! That is just down right fantastic! I know that my children will not remember this but I am so thankful that they were there and were a part of this. It is a new day!

Voting and Dave got a WIIIIIIII for Birthday!

Dave got a Wii for his birthday and it has been SO FUN! The kids and Dave love it. (I do too..)

We also went to vote early for the 2008 Election between Barack Obama and John McCain. It has been a very heated politcal year and I am excited to see what will happen. As we parked the car to go and vote, Scott immediately jumped out of the car and chimed out to everyone "we are going to go and vote for Obama!" I am glad we live in Chapel Hill because a lot of people were going to go do the same thing BUT I had to pull him aside and tell him that this is private! Scott also told me that I needed to vote for Obama because he looked better. I told him that might not be the best way to pick a president but I was going to follow his wishes. It is amazing that we have a woman and an African American man in this race. Awesome! Stay tuned for the results!

The Fair!

This was the first time Dave and I have taken the kids to the fair. Scott LOVED it! It took Anna a good 2 hours to get into it and then it was time to go. I think she will be ready from the start next time we go! Scott could have stayed all night! Dave and I .... not so much! : )

Charlottesville and Dave's Birthday

We had a lot of fun in Charlottesville the weekend of October 17th. We got to hang out with old friends and their children along with Nannie and Grandad! Unfortunatly, Carolina lost for the millionth time in Charlottesville. It was not the best but everything else was fun!

In the pictures you will see Cathy Leitch and I! I had not seen her in over 15 years and was so excited to spend time with her and her beautiful children. I also loved seeing Kaye, Maia, and Liza. We had a blast! The kids had fun too!
